The new NQF guidelines also include updated provisions to different quality areas covering Educational Program and Practice, Children’s Health and Safety, Physical Environment, Staffing Arrangements and Governance and Leadership.
Quality Area 1—Educational Program and Practice
The NQF aims to ensure that providers, services and educators know the revised learning frameworks and are acquainted with the new versions.
Quality Area 2—Children’s Health and Safety
To ensure children are protected from harm, new regulations have been added for embarking and disembarking any means of transport in centre-based services.
Quality Area 3—Physical Environment
New technical amendments require Family Day Cares to display the spaces where education and care will be provided to children.
