COVID-19: Understanding the Business Continuity Payment
IMPORTANT NOTE:

The Australian Government has made the decision to introduce a new payment under the Early Childhood Education and Care Relief Package.
- Submissions not accepted between April 6 – June 28
- CCS and ACCS payments suspended
- Business Continuity Payment of 50% ‘normal’ fee revenue
Submissions requiring late submission or variance can be actioned post June 28, 2020. The New Child Care Package aims to work in line with JobSeeker to help services who are feeling the impact of COVID-19.
HOW TO CLAIM BCP
You will be opted in for business continuity payments but services are still obligated to follow government guidelines
- Stay Open– Your service must stay open with at least one CCS enrolment remaining active. You must continue to offer care to families who wish to access it
- Don’t Charge– You are not permitted to charge parents any fees for care between the period of APRIL 6 to JUNE 28. You may waive gap fees for between MARCH 23 and APRIL 5 only
- Compliance– All other compliance requirements remain in place. Continue to issues CCS enrolments for children and keep all other records
WHAT IS XPLOR DOING TO HELP?
- Automated submissions have been stopped
- All other CCS functions, like enrolments and payments, will continue
- Statements have been updated to remove fees for bookings
- Booking summary will continue to show sessions with $0 fees
- Working with the government to clarify and update
- Regular updates
- Continued compliance
